Book Beginnings on Friday

This was a no-brainer for me. Being a 40-something woman who loves to read, how could I not be hooked by that opening line?

    Great first line, mainly because any reader can definitely relate to it! It also makes me want to know what her reasoning is to think that literature had ruined her life. :)
