Theme Thursday

Theme Thursdays

Theme Thursday is a fun weekly event hosted by Kavyen at Reading Between Pages. Anyone can participate. Here are the rules:

•A theme will be posted each week
•Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
•Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
•It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
This week’s theme is COLORS.

"You had arrived in Manarola, with its pastel houses stacked up around a tiny harbor, and sat down, dusty and tired, for a drink before dinner. Lucia had ordered the spumante, and by the time the waiter set the glasses down the sun was just setting beyond the little harbor, turning the whole sea as pink as smooth sandstone."

~An Italian Affair by Laura Fraser

  2. Isn't it always the case that houses near water are so colourful. My extract mentions houses on an island and the colour too!
