I just heard about this today on Facebook. Ann Curry from NBC started 26 Acts of Kindness, doing random acts of kindness to honor the lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut.
"Rak" has been popular for quite some time. I've never really spontaneously performed a random act of kindness, or at least I don't think I did. That's all about to change.
Like so many of us, I can't seem to wrap my head around the insanity that occurred at Sandy Hook, so I'm going to try this to help me get through it.
I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do, but I plan on doing it before year's end and I hope to get my kids involved. I'll be sure to keep track of it here. Feel free to share any acts of kindness you're doing.
Thanks, Debbie! There are all kinds of random favors we can do for other people. I try to help elderly or disabled people when I'm out shopping. It may simply be taking their cart back to the cart stand. It makes me sick when people shame other people for their weight, especially judging strangers whom they don't know, so I especially try to help those who use the motorized carts. It could be any of us, and I try to remember it could be my mom someone else might help.
