Kailani at An Island Life started Aloha Friday. Want to play along? I ask a question, you answer the question in the comments. You can also ask your own question on your blog and link up at Kailani's site. Here's my question:
Have you gone, or do your kids go, to summer camp?
My answer: I've never gone to summer camp, and my kinds don't get either . . . at least not yet.
I went once as a child. When my boys were young, I never sent them to camp, however, it was like camp at my house everyday. All their friends would be here daily to be in the pool.
ReplyDeleteI was a summer camp counselor one year while in high school - the 'payment' was a road trip to Disneyland. ;) Princess Nagger went to a day camp summer camp a couple of years ago - but only went 3 of the 5 days because she missed me (and it wasn't a very good one, more like a summer school atmosphere which wasn't all that fun). :) Much more fun camping out at home! ;)

I went to camp as a kid and liked it to a certain age. My oldest has gone to a few things and did not enjoy it a lot. Still debating if I should try to find something for my youngest since he's old enough now.
ReplyDeleteI have not and my little one is too little but I would like for her to experience something like that!!
ReplyDeleteI did. When my kids were small they did other things like swim team and college for kids. Oh and band camps.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!

My daughter went to our church sponsored Girl's Camp every year and my boys went to Scout Camp and Scout High Adventure Camp every year. Now my grandchildren are heading off to summer camp. ;D
ReplyDeleteI've never been to summer camp, like go away somewhere.
ReplyDeleteAnd neither has the kids as yet.
Maybe when they are older.
I have never been to a summer camp and neither have my kids.
ReplyDeleteNo Summer camp for her yet. I still feel that at 6, she's too young. What is surprising to me is how expensive it is! Not looking forward to paying for it when she does start.
