Kailani at
An Island Life started Aloha Friday. Want to play along? I ask a question, you answer the question in the comments. You can also ask your own question on your blog and link up on Kailani's site. Here's my question:
How long do you keep your holiday decorations up?
My answer: I try to wait until The Feast of Three Kings, which is January 6 I believe.
New Year's Day is the day the tree comes down, the presents get put away and the house gets a much needed cleaning. As for the outside, I leave my wreaths and greenery up until it starts to dry out and fade. Usually sometime in March. Just looks so pretty with all the snow :)
ReplyDeleteNot long this year :)

Usually until the first week of January. ;D
ReplyDeleteUsually I'll take them down New Year weekend - they'll be up a little longer this year, since we'll be driving home from Iowa Sunday and Monday, so I'll probably end up taking them down the following weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! :)
Toasting the New Year...or Making Toast
Until I feel it's moot. lol
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas tree is still up. I feel like I should keep it until Jan 2 :)
Aloha!
Usually New Year's Day. But this year...tomorrow. That way we have Sunday to relax before the work week starts again.
ReplyDeleteI usually take them down on New Years Day.
