Take 10 Tuesday . . . With a Twist

My previous Take 10 Tuesday posts were about taking 10 minutes out of your day to do something for yourself. Today, there's a twist. I'm suggesting to take 10 minutes and do a little exercise.

Recent research says that 20-30 minutes every day should be devoted to some sort of exercise. Maybe you only have 10 minutes. Maybe you can take 10 minutes in the morning and 10 in the afternoon. Either way, try to fit in 10 minutes of your day for some exercise. Here's a list of some simple moves to get moving. So set the timer and give it a try. What have you got to lose?
  1. Go for a walk outside.
  2. Walk up and down the stairs in your house.
  3. Jog in place.
  4. Do jumping jacks.
  5. Put on your favorite tunes and Dance.
  6. Try doing push-ups.
  7. One of the best moves ever - squats.
  8. Lift weights or something that weighs 5-10 pounds.
  9. Jump rope.
  10. Pop in an exercise DVD and do a 10 minute segment.

  2. Such great ideas! I feel as though ten minutes is such a doable goal, it would be silly not to take advantage of smaller bursts of activity whenever possible. I have also started allotting about 20 minutes at the end of each day for silent meditation. I always feel so much better when I do!

  5. Exercising for ten minuets a day was one of my goals for the year. I love it because it allows me to quit when I'm too tired, but I usually don't. I record episodes on fit tv and most of them are only 20 minutes so it's perfect. I found you from wandering wednesday. www.twinglemommmy.blogspot.com
