Thank God for Rainy Days

We're experiencing a bit of an extended, albeit much-needed, rain storm here on the East Coast. It's been raining buckets for hours. I don't mind. It's been a hot summer, and a break from the heat and craziness of running here and there is welcome.

Fortunately my kids seem to be fine inside or out. The 5-year-old has the Wii, computer games, and books. The 2-year-old can pretty much occupy himself anywhere with anything (this can be good and bad, depending on where we are and what he's occupying himself with.) Me, well, that's pretty simple as well.

My first inclination is to grab my current read. I've been doing that for most of the day and making some good headway through the book. Then I'll head over to the computer to see what everyone else is doing on Facebook. Or maybe I'll start a new post, like this one.

Rainy days slow down my pulse rate. They make me sit back and just relax. How about you? What do you do on rainy days?

  3. I love rainy day too. It gives me an excuse to slow down. I like to bake or read or see what is on t.v. (not usually much). I do spend a lot of time on the computer. Ever since I bought a laptop, it's been worse. I can sit anywhere and be on the internet.
