Booking Through Thursday is a weekly meme about (mostly) books and reading. This week's BTT asks . . . It’s National Book Week. The rules: Grab the closest book to you. Go to page 56. Copy the 5th sentence as your status.
"The idea was that we would all have an informal meal, what my mother called "seek and ye shall find," and afterward my father would go back into his study to work, and I could spend time with my sister."
~"Lucky" by Alice Sebold
My husband and I have a lot of those informal meals. ; )
ReplyDeleteSeek and ye shall find... I LOVE that!! This sentence has really made me interested in learning more about "Lucky". Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHere's mine
Growing up, we called those kind of meals "fend for yourself" nights. We do them in our home now every now and then when I need a break!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, great book!
It was 'Fast Night' for us... as in you better make yourself something fast. :) Thanks for the visit!
