No Filter Friday

There are a couple of things troubling me this week. Maybe the weather is slowing my anger down.

1. I am so sick of Republicans and Democrats arguing about what to do about the economy. We are a country in crisis. Remember how everyone came together after 9/11? Why is it so hard to agree to disagree but come up with a compromise? We are an embarrassment to the rest of the world. I think our government needs some marriage counseling.
2.  I get so distraught after hearing/reading stories of children who go missing and later only wind up dead. My heart aches and my stomach turns. I realize this has been going on for decades but with 24 hour news cycles, the prevalence of these stories is frightening. I pray the 11 year old girl from New Hampshire, Celina Cass, rests in peace. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the government should institute public hangings for those responsible for the death of a child. No other punishment through today seems to be a deterrent.
