Thanksgiving Turkey

Sometimes I don't know what I'm thinking. I've offered to host Thanksgiving for over 20 people this year - something I haven't done in about 10 years. It sounded good about 2 weeks ago, right after I put together and ran a gift auction successfully for over 200 people. Now with a week before Thanksgiving and tons of prepping to do, it doesn't sound so good anymore.

 

Did I mention I hate to cook? Here I am hosting the biggest meal of the year. Guess who's the turkey?

Auction Distraction

I am up to my eyeballs in Gift Auction preparation. I cannot believe it has been two months since I posted ANYTHING on my blog. There are mounds of prizes scattered throughout my house. I'm still picking up donations. I'm still soliciting a few places. This has been an all-consuming process that I don't plan on doing again. I keep reminding myself it's all for the kids (in between bad-mouthing everyone else who's giving me a hard time).

 

I thought I'd at least post a reason why I stopped blogging. Now I have to get back to work on this Auction. Only 22 more days and then it will all be over with - thank goodness!
