Science, Space and Technology ~ Oh My!

If you or anyone in your house has any interest in science, SciTechDaily is a site you must check out. For information on all the latest goings on in science, from biology to technology to physics to space, this one site has it all.

Part of the greatness of SciTechDaily is that it is an easy site to navigate. Click on the button for breaking news or latest news and find out in chronological order all the latest in all fields of science. With the categories broken down into specific sections on the site, there is no hunting and pecking around. It's already organized for you. So if I want to find out the latest space news, I just need to go to the space section of the site.

I know quite a few tech enthusiasts. For the latest technology news daily, look no further than SciTechDaily. There is always a scientist or engineer somewhere working on the latest innovations or cures or advances in science. It's a fascinating field that is constantly changing. What better way to be kept up to speed than with a site that has all the information you could want in one place.

More good news on SciTechDaily can be found in all the links to coupons found there. You can find online coupons and discounts for many online stores here. Finding a deal for just about anything these days is incredibly helpful. Don't worry - they are not all technology-based coupons. You can find discounts for Target and flowers as well. Why not take advantage of all those that are available here on this site.

Have a special geek in your life? Be sure to check out geek magazine to shop around for some cool gadgets, toys and books. I would not consider myself a geek, but even I would buy something here. I suppose there's an inner science buff somewhere in all of us.

I Hate Green

I officially hate St. Patrick's Day. This is the second year in a row that my kids get that awful stomach virus on or around St. Patrick's Day. There's very little I hate more than the stomach bug.

I was up all night last night with my 3 year old who has this horrible virus. No fun and no sleep makes me one unhappy Mommy. Once it's in the house, I'm sure the 6 year old won't be far behind - not to mention me.

Last year, the older boy came down with the stomach bug ON St. Patrick's Day and the little one followed a few days later. Why can't someone somewhere come up with a cure for this thing? It's just so miserable - and messy!

I will probably forever associate St. Pat's Day with the stomach bug. In honor of that, I'm boycotting celebrating the Irish. Sorry my fellow Irish bloggers, but this association is just too powerful for me to overcome.

It's A Spring Thing

I'm actually doing what home decor professionals recommend you should do this time of year: swapping out my decorative pillows.

I have red living room furniture. It's bold and it's about 12 years old. But it's still in great condition so I'm not about to get rid of it. Instead, I'm going to freshen it up with some new pillows. It'll change the feel of the room at the same time.

I wanted to soften the look, and I think I found the perfect accent pillow to do just that. I fell in love with this pillow the second I saw it and was just praying it would work in this room. I think it's doing it's job - it blends in nicely and softens the feel of the brash red.

Here's the up close and person view of the red bird in a birdcage against a pastel blue background. I just love it. I found it online at Target.

That's one chair complete. Now I have to contend with the sofa, loveseat and rest of the room. The pillow did give me some good ideas though. I'm on the hunt for a decorative white birdcage to put in one of the corners of the room. I think that will be a nice nod to my pillow. Let the Spring refreshening begin!
