Booking Through Thursday

Booking Through Thursday is a weekly meme about (mostly) books and reading. This week's question: All things being equal (money, space, etc), would you rather own copies of the books you read? Or borrow them?

I'd rather own them, hands down. I love the way they sit on my shelf. I love the new book feel and smell. I do participate in book swaps so I do get many pre-owned books, but they're still mine to keep if I want to revisit them. Sometimes I get "involved" in the story and characters, and I would hate to see them go.

    I do lots and lots of "library-ing", but I do agree that when I really love a book, I want a copy...I love the feel of them, the solidness of thought on paper, etc, etc...

    I love having books that are mine, mine, mine. I get most of mine from library book sales or garage sales though, so at least I'm "recycling". Thanks for stopping by the Sit and Relax weekend hop! Have a great weekend!
